My name is Karina. I came into the photography field when I was a teenager. At that moment, Canon has just put out into the market the revolutionary A-1 Model, film camera, and I was starting my studies in Architecture. I developed a passion for taking photos of the interaction amount volume and space, buildings, their surroundings as well as people whom lived in them.
Since 2007, I started to take classes at Miami Dade College CE in the new digital photography field as well as some black and white photography. This decision was a life change experience for me. It is my passion again. Nowadays, I have decided to take credit classes in order to create my own style. I am taking photography as well as graphic and web design classes.
Photography is an art in which today you can be very creative. I am not a journalist, and I consider manipulation as a tool to create my on style. I love to capture natural expression, which are the base for my inspiration. I feel that expressions, feelings and light are the main ingredients of a great picture.
I belong to three photography clubs in Miami Dade and Broward county. I had received several awards such as First Place in Open team Category in 2008 Third Place in Open Category in 2010 at International Shutterbug; Best of Show Picture June 2010 and Best Fun Print of Year 2010 - 2011 at Kendall Camera Club and other awards at Pembroke Pines Camera.
